Festivities Events was founded in 1984 by a brother–sister team with a shared passion for food and entertaining. Bill Kaliff trained under the best in the culinary industry and Rosinne Chlala had a flair for hosting and making guests feel at home. Both shared a collective love of delighting others with their passion for celebrating life’s special moments through memorable food and entertainment experiences.
The Objective
Develop a strategic approach for positioning and designing a compelling new visual brand image and language for Festivities through its website to assist in maximizing sales opportunities with new and existing customers; reinforcing Festivities position as one of Fairfield County Connecticut’s most established, experienced and trusted caterers.
The Challenge
The existing branding and website needed to be refreshed and reorganized to emphasize Festivities’ strengths and capabilities in a manner that will resonate in a more relevant and compelling fashion with customers seeking their services. This will be done by strategically crafting a new brand look, positioning and message, which will be applied to a new website that will more effectively leverage digital technology, improve functionality and provide a more user-friendly experience.
The Solution
Echo Brand Group assisted Festivities in evolving their well-established 36-year-old business to more effectively identify, reach and engage their customers. Beginning with a comprehensive brand audit, including an industry competitive analysis, Echo developed a strategic plan to establish the best approach, which ultimately included a complete brand refresh, logo, tagline, updated imagery and website redesign.
Development of the new Festivities visual identity was done through logo, images and color, in concert with the creation of a messaging framework that elevated the catering service into an aspirational lifestyle. Echo developed key messages throughout the website such as: “Dreams are designed here”, “Moment by Moment”, “With Planning and Panache”.
